I'm Sara Isabelle, and I write cozy mysteries set in the kind of small town where everyone knows your business, the desserts are dangerously good, and murder has somehow become a regular community event. Meet Lyssa Jones
After her marriage falls apart, Lyssa Jones moves back to her quirky Mississippi river hometown of Bliss, Iowa, with no job, no plan, and absolutely no intention of becoming an amateur detective.
That plan doesn't last long.
Between her ghostly father Jimi (who has opinions about everything, even from the afterlife), her mischievous cat Trouble, her sweet, accident-prone husky Stevie, and a town full of nosy, lovable neighbors, Lyssa keeps finding herself in the middle of one small-town murder after another, armed with little more than caffeine, true crime trivia, and stubborn determination.
Two Sides of the Same Storyteller
Here's something worth knowing: Sara Isabelle is a pen name, I also write much darker psychological thrillers as Sara Ennis. I love both genres dearly, but they live very different lives, so I write the cozy side under a different name to keep things easy for readers who want their murder mysteries served with tea and humor, not nightmares.
