Sara Isabelle FAQ

Do I need to read the Bliss, Iowa Mysteries in order?
Yes. The series follows Lyssa Jones and the town of Bliss across a connected timeline, with recurring characters, relationships, and storylines that build from book to book.

I've seen some of these titles before under different names. What's going on?
A few books in the series were previously published under earlier titles (for example, A Plot to Die For was originally released as Living in Bliss). The stories themselves haven't changed, just the titles and covers as the series has been refreshed.

Are these clean mysteries?
Yes. The Bliss, Iowa Mysteries are clean, family-friendly cozy mysteries. There's no graphic violence or explicit content, with only occasional mild language.

Are there recurring characters and pets throughout the series?
Yes. Lyssa Jones, her ghostly father Jimi, Aunt Maybee, Mayor Holly Bliss, and a growing cast of Bliss locals appear throughout the series, along with fan-favorite pets Trouble the cat and Stevie the blind husky.

Is there a paranormal element to these books?
Yes. Alongside the small-town mystery and humor, the series includes light paranormal touches, most notably Lyssa's late father, Jimi, who appears as a sarcastic ghost throughout the series.

Are there short stories in this world?
Yes. Notes from Bliss is a collection of short stories, including Trouble in Bliss, Key to Bliss, and Back to Bliss, set within the Bliss, Iowa world.

Are box sets available?
Yes. Bundles are available covering Books 1–4 and the complete Books 1–7 collection.
